Well, it's that time again, FOOTBALL!!!! Jace made it through a week of football camp as well as 3 straight week of practice in the Arizona sun.....it was Hot!!! They had their 1st game on August 22. They played really good and made one touch down. We are so proud of him and the team...Go Thunder!!!! Jace is a BIG fan of Pat Tillman as you can see his hair is just as Pat would have it!!!! He idolizes Pat Tillman....what a great man to look up too!!!! Jace you are one heck of a Football player as your family is so proud of you and all the hard work you put in to something you love.

John "T"s 17th Birthday

John"T" is 17 today...WOW!!!! Time sure does fly by way to fast. Seventeen years ago on this day I was in the hospital having our first child. I gave John a wonderful Father's day gift....John Timothy Jayne was born. It is so crazy to me that he is that old, but I tell John"T" he makes me feel younger every year he gets older. He is a wonderful son and brother. We are so blessed to have him in our life's. We are so proud of the achievements he has made in his life. He works very hard in anything he does and seems to never complain about anything. John"T", we hope you had a wonderful 17th birthday. We love you very much!!

Today we did just a little something for John"T" for his 17th Birthday. He had two of his best friends over to celebrate his day with him. I hope you had a great day John"T". Happy Birthday Son!!! We love you.

I sent the kids out on Saturday to go shopping for their Dad, They really did a great job. I was very proud that they worked together and did a great job on his gift's. I hope you had a great Father's Day John. You are an outstanding father to our 4 monkey's and a fantastic husband to me. We are so blessed to have you. We thank you for everything you do for us on a daily bases. Love you John!!!!

On Saturday we headed over to my parents house to have a BBQ and celebrate Father's day with my Dad. We had a great day spending time with the family. The kids had a wonderful time playing and just hanging out with each other. We had some good food to grub up and boy did we all get stuffed. I would like to take this time to tell my dad, that I hope you had a great father's day. You are a wonderful father, opa, father-in-law and friend. You are such a wonderful example to each one of us. We love you very much!!!

On Friday this week we went over to have Father's day with Papa Smith. We were able to also spend time with John's Brother and his family. It sure was a nice day outside and fun to see the kids playing. we don't get to see Jimmy and family that often so it is really nice to see them when they are here. We had a great day spending time with Papa. Happy Father's Day to you Papa, Jimmy and John.

Family Camping Trip 2009

Our family camping trip is always something we look forward to going. It is sure nice to get away fro the everyday life. It is a so nice to just relax and visit with everyone. We didn't go up until the girls got home from their girls camp. Jace ended up leaving with my sister on Wednesday. We had a fun time and made more great memories!!!!

This was Justine and Janssen's first year going to Girls Camp. They had a really good time. I am so happy they decided to go and experience such a wonderful event in their life's. They came home and had so much to tell us. They have been singing the songs that they had learned to our family. They each have a journal that they took and had a chance to write done the experiences that they had each day. I am so very proud of our daughter's. What amazing examples they are to our family. I think next year they will be just as excited as they were this year to go again.

Justine promoted from 8th grade and is heading to High School...WOW!!! My baby is growing up so fast. Justine had a wonderful year in 8th grade. She had committed to a lot of things in school and stayed with each one. We are so very proud of her and the things she accomplished during her 8th grade year...she will be ready for anything that comes to her in high school. She was always very proud of the each thing that she was involved in and gave it 100% to make it the best!!!! You are such amazing daughter. We are so very proud Justine. Continue to keep your head held high and you will be able to accomplish anything. Always, remember to shoot for the highest star and make your dreams come true!!!!

They Won Championship

Basketball season is now over for Justine...that is until next year!!! YES!! "SHAQ" will be back!!! The team was undefeated and won championship. We can not express enough to Justine how proud we are in her and her effort in the sport that she enjoys so much!!! She did so good in each game and worked well with her team members. The coach was great with the girls, encouraging them to do the best...always being positive!!! She learned a lot and will carry this with her through out her playing years!!!! Good Job "SHAQ"(That's what they nicknamed Justine) Again, we are very proud and knew you could do it!!! Love you Justine!!!

A few weeks ago John and I were at our friends house and John was playing around with a staple gun!!! He didn't realize that the gun was the wrong way as he was trying to shoot our friends daughter from a distance...she was told to get to bed and was procrastinating the issue. John was very calm after it had happened. We couldn't believe what had just happened. After a few pictures, Bill just took John out to the shed and took it out and bandaged him up!!!! His hand is fine.....moral of the story, never play with a staple gun...and if you do at least make sure your holding it the right way!!!!

Basketball is now over, today was their last game and they won...They are the undefeated team at their age group!!! Jace really likes playing basketball, but would play Football over it any day!!! He did really good this year and will be playing next year. Jace we are so proud of you for all the hard work you put into the game's and being there at practice..with out a fight!!! You have such amazing talent. You make us all proud!!! We love you!!!

Justine had her first game agents Casa Grande Middle school. Her team did really good!!! They play very well as a team!!! I love watching her play, she does such a great job!!! They won 32-16, Wait ago girls!!!

Super Bowl 2009

Every year for the Super Bowl we celebrate with our great friends the Tapia's. The Saturday before the game John and Boy Tapia get the outside and the inside all decorated for the big game. Boy spray paints everything freehand and does such a great job!!! We have so many people there that we also have two television's outside for everyone to watch the game. The kids love going every year to hang out with all their friends and to have a good time. This is a tradition that we share with some great friends!!! It is such a blast!!!!

This year at Christmas with Nana and Papa Smith. Nana did the "White Elephant" gift exchange between the 8 grand kid's. It sure was fun and we had a lot of laughs. The kids did really good with the game and all were happy with what they got. We love going to Nana and Papa's house. It is good to spend time with them as well as spending time with Jimmy, Lisa and the kids. We don't see them that often as we would like as they live up North, But love seeing them when we can!!!!

I have some catching up to do with this blog... I haven't done any updating in a while. I will start with Christmas and work my way to what we are all up to now.
We spent Christmas 2008 at Gessika and H.B.'s house. We always have such a wonderful time together. Just hanging out and being together is the best part of Family!!

Today was a big day for Justine, all week she had been staying after school for basketball try outs. Well, she came home to tell us that she had made the basketball team. She works very hard to be perfect in the sport, but knows it okay if she messes up. We are so proud of her in all the hard work she put into making one of her goals come true. Janssen had a project to do for her class in Social Studies. She chose to do it on the Parthenon a Greek temple. She could use anything she wanted to make the temple. As you can see we all like to do projects. John"t" and Justine helped her with it. They put their heads together and did a great job. I never thought to keep toilet paper rolls around the house until this day. She received an A!!! We are so proud of you Janssen, Keep up the good work you do in school!!!

Nephi's 40th Birthday

We had been planning his 40th surprise birthday party for a while now, He had no clue that this was going on. It is really hard to keep him out of the loop, but it sure was fun to see his face when he walked in and saw all of us there. I really can't believe I have a 40 year old brother. He doesn't seem that old. Nephi is a fun brother and I love him very much. He is the kind of brother that would do anything for anyone. He has a very kind heart and is very good uncle to the kids. Happy 40th Nephi!!! I love you!!!

This is one of Justine's passions, Basketball!!!! She is playing now for the city league until after the new year. She will begin play for her school in February. She is very good at it. She is also one of my competitive kids when it comes to sports. She played her first game on the 11th. The first quarter of the game they stopped keeping score. Justine and her team scored 20 point. The team works very hard during practice and the coaches are great with the kids!!!!

Now that Football is over. Jace is playing Basketball another one of his favorite sports. He had his first game on the 6th and they won the team they played. He did such a great job!!!! He really gets into his game when playing. Jace is very competitive. He want to do well, but is happy even at a lose.

John "t" and Josie went to the winter formal, He took her to dinner and then to the dance. They had a really good time. They are now together, she is really a very nice girl. We really like her and John"t" is really good to her. Josie is a cheerleader for their school and she likes to have a fun time. One thing that both John and I see alot is that she always has a smile on her face....she is always happy!!!! They are a very cute couple!!!!

Well, what a fun night with just us girls. We have read all the books and are ready for the next movie....LOL. We had such a great night and the movie was good. I only wish it could have been longer. After the movie we all headed to grab some grub at the Olive Garden...It was so late...we were the last people there still eating. We will be ready for the next movie!!!!

Wow...I can remember the day John & I were going to those special dances. John"t" and Josie are just really good friends. Today, Jace went on his field trip to the corn field over by C.A.C. They learned that the Indian's would grow the corn and use it to trade for things that they needed. He said that they got to pick the corn and learned that corn grows from a seed. He told us that corn is also put into other foods that we eat, like taco shells and corn bread. He got to bring the corn home that he picked with his new bag that they put it in after picking it. Jace had a fun day and this will be something he will remember.

Last night we celebrated my little sister's birthday. We had a very good time and it was well deserved. Sometimes life just takes us all in different directions that we don't always get to be together and it sure gets hard to spend time with the ones that mean the most. Us mom's all need to get away from kids and husbands and have those special girl night's. I am very blessed to have wonderful sister's and grateful to my sister in law Meaghan that we share such special a bond with one another as well as with our mom. Our mom is such an amazing person and we are all very blessed to have pick her. I had fun and always enjoy being with you all.

Driving me crazy!!!

Well, John"t" is now and has been 16 since June. I now have the added stress of my son out there driving with the crazy people on the road....HELP!!! He's really a good driver, but the other drivers are way to crazy!!!! I think when your so young you feel so excited to be driving as you get older driving becomes a hassle and you just don't want to do it, if at all possible. Well, John"t" seems to feel like he needs to drive everywhere we go, that is where the stress hits me. I of course let him drive and pray a lot as we are driving that nothing will happen and we will make it safely home. I know that this added stress will be lifted at some point, but I am not sure when. All I can do is just continue to pray when we are out....wish us luck!!!!

Today, I took the kids to the skate park and they really had a good time. That is until Jace and his cousin got hurt. Jace told me he would rather play football instead of skating. But, they did have a fun day with their cousins.

Saturday Jace had his first game. He did a good job and we are proud of him. He is number 71 during the game. They didn't win, but Jace told me it was all good!!! He just likes playing!!!!
